What hormones can blood spot collection test?

 IGF-1, TSH, T4, T3, TPO

How long is the blood spot sample stable for testing?

Hormones in dried blood are exceptionally stable, and do not require special storage and transportation conditions. Samples can be shipped to the laboratory by regular mail and are stable for 30 days.

When will my test results be returned and what is involved?

Your test results are returned to your health care provider or pharmacy within 7 -10 working days of receipt. Please note that test results ordered by a healthcare provider or pharmacy are not returned to the patient unless specifically requested when the order is placed.

What is included in the Blood Spot Test Kit?

The blood spot test kit contains:

  • Blood collection instructions
  • Lancets
  • Alcohol prep pad
  • Sterile gauze
  • Bandage
  • Blood collection card with envelope for collecting your sample

I live in California. Can I have my blood tested?

Due to requirements of California State health law, the testing of specimens collected or mailed from California must be accompanied with a written order from a licensed California health care professional (M.D., N.D., D.C.,D.O.,R.D.,N.P. LA.c. and Pharm.D. / R.PH.).

Therefore, direct receipt of lab results for NY residents is not possible.
