Male "Andropause"

Saliva Hormone Testing

Using Symptoms to Determine
Which Hormones to Test

The following symptom score sheets for men will help you to determine whether hormone testing is necessary, and which hormone tests to order. Each hormone category is divided into hormone deficiency and hormone excess, as each encompasses a different subset of symptoms. Check only those symptoms which are troublesome and persist over time. Go through each category, checking off deficiency and/or excess symptoms that apply to you and enter your total in the box at the end of each column. One or more persistent symptoms in any given category is a strong indication of hormonal imbalance and the need to test levels of that specific hormone.
