            Chronic stress can exhaust the adrenal glands and cause degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis.  Knowing the accurate levels of DHEA and cortisol as well as other natural hormones of the patients can potentially prevent or treat these chronic diseases. 

 What are the specific instructions we can provide?

Collect the sample first thing in the morning and again just before going to bed.  Discontinue any hormone supplements for a month before testing for hormones since it may affect the test results. 

 What are considered the normal ranges of hormones? 

Cortisol 8AM: 5-33 nmol/L

Cortisol 12AM: 0.8-4.7 nmol/L

DHEA: 0.6-4.5 nmol/L
